A physical connection to the world of Minions. Meet the E-Liminator X.

Making mischief
tangible.
StrikerVR collaborated with Universal Studios on the E-Liminator X for Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast. The physical blaster connects each guest to the on-screen action, bringing haptic product design into a shared theme-park experience.
The project joined product development, early concepts, interactive prototyping, and the character of the Minions universe. The result puts a piece of the story directly into the guest’s hands.
The ideas along
the way.
Before the final blaster, there were many possibilities. These unselected concepts explore different silhouettes, characters, colors, and ways to hold the experience.

Meet the E-Liminator X
Product animation / 00:07The guest becomes
part of the action.
Guests pick up a blaster and travel through a screen-based world on a moving walkway. The physical object, its interface, and the attraction work together to turn a shared space into an interactive adventure.
A little of that world,
to take home.
The attraction’s blaster design also informed a retail toy developed by Universal. It carries the same recognizable form beyond the park experience and into a new context.
